Mahwah, NJ (January 10, 2008). The Board of Directors of the Mahwah Regional Commerce (MRCC) has elected Dr. Annette S. Freund, Owner and Managing Director of Freund Associates Technical Communication in Mahwah, Senior Vice President. 

Dr. Freund has been a member of the MRCC for 9 years and has served on the organization’s Board of Directors for the past 4 years as Public Relations Chair. In her role as Senior VP, she will be responsible for editing the organization’s newsletter. 

“I am very pleased to work with the Executive Committee as Senior VP,” said Dr. Freund. “As Editor of the newsletter, I plan to build on the work my predecessor, Frank Shapiro. The newsletter will remain a prime source of information for and about our members.”    

Annette holds a doctorate in English/Writing Specialist from the State University of New York at Albany and has 20 years of experience in technical writing for corporations, plus 14 years of university teaching experience. In 2003, her company achieved national certification as a woman-owned business through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.

Dr. Freund is a long-time resident of Mahwah, where she lives with her husband, John, and their two teenagers, Kathryn and Stephen.
